Our World - Our Children

Have you ever woken up and felt you no longer recognize the world you live in

Well think about your children they have inherited this confusion

Negativity and violence is increasing everyday and our children are at risk

I remember when I was a child how safe and loved I felt

My parents were loving, caring, giving and nurturing

Sadly today children have to grow up faster

They have to be taught how to protect themselves

No longer can parents hide their heads in the sand and pretend everything is all right

We as a society have to stand up and be counted

We have to fight for a better world for our children

The future needs to be protected

Let our voices resonate throughout the world

We must continue the fight that such great men like Martin Luther King started

In a time of racial hatred and injustice he stood up and fought for equality for all

A man of vision and wisdom that wrote such beautiful quotes as - "We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
