Faces of Good in Todays Society

What does the face of a person with humility, kindness and a moral compass reflect in today's society? There seems to be an ever evolving trend of immoral behavior.

It makes your heart feel good when you come across someone who is truly a good human being. One such person who sticks out is Keanu Reeves. A Canadian actor and musician born in Beirut, Lebanon. He has seen many tragedies in his life, from losing his daughter and partner to his sister being diagnosed with leukemia. He has donated millions of dollars to create a private cancer foundation. Since then, his foundation has funded children's hospitals and cancer research throughout the country. He is a down-to-earth man who has a big heart.

Another individual is Denzel Washington, who is not only an actor, producer and director, but a man of God. He frequently shares principles and values that have guided his life, such as humility, respect, and the importance of family. Many find these values resonant and applicable to their own lives. Denzel promotes a positive mindset and emphasizes the importance of hard work, perseverance, and self-belief in achieving one's goals.

In an atmosphere that is so daunting and controlling, these are two men who refuse to conform to the pressure of Hollywood. There seems to be a very negative force that comes from this environment.

Some celebrities seem to think they are beyond reproach and elevate themselves to a level of arrogance. Remember these are just people who, yes, are talented but not different from anyone else. Never put them on a pedestal and think they are perfect. They are just like you, with their own set of problems.

The only one that you should put high on a pedestal is Jesus Christ, the son of God. He died on a cross for us. Never forget his sacrifice of him. Jesus said - 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions'” (Luke 12:15). Life is about more than money.

Thirst for Power - God's Word says, "Hopes placed in mortals die with them; all the promise of their power comes to nothing" (Proverbs 11:7). The psalmist tells us, "Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous" (Psalm 37:16-17).

You should only learn from those who are righteous and have a good moral compass.
